Lacey Tolles, Photographer

Lacey photographed all of the bowls for our Empty Bowls event.

Lacey told us, “Service has always been an important part of my life. Throughout high school and into college, I knew giving my skills and time to others was essential. During college, I volunteered at AmeriCorps working with youth in elementary schools. That work was an essential piece of the beginning of my career working in our schools in St. Helens.

When approached by Meagan to help the Columbia Pacific Food Bank, it was a no-brainer. I have always been a huge fan of Pat Brame’s work, and supporting local artists is important to me. As a photographer, I am happy to provide my skills to Empty Bowls. Photographing Pat’s work is an absolute honor and getting asked to use my skill set to help in our community is cool.

As someone who has seen firsthand what food insecurity looks like, I understand the need our community has for the services provided by CPFB. Food and nutrition is a basic need, and when those needs are met, we are helping empower our own community.”
