Columbia Pacific Food Bank Mourns
The Passing of Esteemed Board Member

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our Vice-Chair, Susan (Sue) Ziglinski.  Sue passed away on Friday, November 10th, 2023.

Sue joined the Columbia Pacific Food Bank Board in 2015 and played a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization. During her time with us, she served a number of roles on the board, including Member at large, Secretary, and recently, Vice Chair. Her unwavering commitment to our mission of ending hunger in Columbia County continues to make a lasting impact on our organization.

Sue was a passionate advocate for feeding people, with a deep concern for seniors having access to healthy food, nutrition, and resources in Columbia County. She played a crucial role in launching and executing our capital campaign for our new building.

Sue’s passing is a great loss to our community. She was loved by her fellow board members, staff members, and volunteers at the Columbia Pacific Food Bank. Sue’s contributions to our organization have been invaluable, and her legacy will forever be a part of the history of the Columbia Pacific Food Bank.

In loving memory - Sue Ziglinski

In honor of Sue’s legacy, the Board of Directors of Columbia Pacific Food Bank has made the decision to start a Memorial Fund in Sue’s name. It is our collective wish to celebrate Sue’s spirit through a memorial that reflects Sue’s values, passions, and dedication to fighting hunger in Columbia County.

Donations from the Sue Ziglinski Memorial Fund will be used to purchase a van and establish a mobile pantry. The mobile pantry will increase seniors’ access to food across Columbia County.

Sue – We love you and we will miss your glitter, your glam, your color, and your sparkle. And we will strive to carry forth your reminder and signature quote
“Remember not to drive faster than your guardian angel can fly!”

Thank you for helping us celebrate the life and legacy of Sue Ziglinski.

With heartfelt appreciation,

The Columbia Pacific Food Bank Team
